Valentine's Day Cupcakes

Mr G and I went to London to visit relatives over the weekend and I decided to take some cupcakes.

(It was the same relatives that we had been visiting when "Burgergate" took place so Mr G was adamant he was not holding the cupcakes at any time!)

I decided on Red Velvet because they seem quite Valentines-ey to me.

Plus I wanted to get the sparkly red glitter out again!

I had bought some cucake wrappers to use.
They are so pretty.

They finished the cupcakes off perfectly.

Mini Pink Cupcakes

One of my friends was home this weekend to celebrate the festival of Eid with her family.

I decided to make her some mini cupcakes to help her celebrate!

Mini Cupcake cases are so cute!

I decided on vanilla cupcakes and then added a touch of pink gel food colouring to make the cupcakes themselves pink.

Just out of the oven. They took hardly anytime to cool down!

Once they had cooled, I added some pink vanilla frosting and then topped them with pink m&ms and pink chocolate hearts.

I noticed the other day that Sainsbury's had started selling cupcake boxes.

They were quite expensive - 2 for £1.75 but they were cute so I couldn't resist buying a couple.

They are really reasonable and have a great variety of sizes and designs.

Bake It Pretty Goodies!

I ordered some goodies from bakeitpretty.com recently and got them delivered to my aunt's in New York. She sent them on to me and they finally arrived this weekend!

I had ordered some Americolour gel sets.

I can't wait to try out the colours!

I also ordered some piping nozzles. I can't wait to try the "French" nozzle.

Yes, even more baking cases! I have been coveting these black ones with lime green spots for ages!

I had also ordered some of the designer baking cases.
They are so pretty. Too pretty to use methinks!

Pretty Cake Cases

I love cupcake cases. The range available on the market now is unbelievable. I have gathered a pretty good collection, but the problem is, some of them are so pretty that I never want to use them. Beks and I discovered a great website recently called bakeitpretty.com. They have a really good selection of designer cupcake cases. I've ordered some and I can't wait for them to arrive! In the meantime, take a look at some of my favourites!
